Romanian Mystery Wine

Each year we have a Mystery Romanian Wine sale at our event. These wines all came over straight from Romania - tucked gently into the bags of our co-directors!  Each wine in randomly placed into a bag. You can purchase a bottle for $38. What will you get? Perhaps a red, a white or a rose? Perhaps one of the several high end wines? It’s a mystery!!

This year we have about a dozen bottles left - is one of them yours?? First to email diane@embracemercy.org will receive their very own mystery bottle, or two or three. Don’t wait, these won’t last - email NOW!

Have you heard of the wines made from grapes grown specifically in Romania?

Fetească Neagră "Dark Maiden" is a grape variety native to Romania and the Repulbic of Moldova. It is considerd to make some of the top red Romanian wines. 

Fetească Neagră is characterized by a great aromatic complexity. Depending on the winemakeing techniques, wines with various flavors are made, ranging from wild quince to red fruit (blackberry, blueberry and ripe plum).

Fetească Regală is one of the most popular and sought after wine grape varieties in Romania. It was discoveredin Transylvania near Sighisoara about eith decades ago and is a hybrid between Fetească Albă and Grasă de Cotnari.

Fetească Regală  is part of the semi-aromatic varieties such as Chardonnay. These wines tend to preserve the elegance of rose flavors, wild flowers, dried apricots and almonds.
